An Imperfect Match
Leaving the gym, Jian looked down at his phone. His wingman was currently on a date and several minutes of processing had elapsed. He grinned, thinking it was a good sign he'd get to meet this woman in person.
He stepped outside into the sprawling metropolis of Neo-Seoul. He squinted at the bright neon lights along the street corner.
This was the way dating worked now. Everybody had an AI version of themselves. Sometimes they were useful for busy work, like sending birthday messages on your behalf. But if you went the extra step in your personality review, it could create a digital personality that was vulnerable.
The AI then logged off and Jian checked the debrief. It had been on a date with a woman named Sarah and their relationship appeared to be scoring high in potential. Now it was up to him to set a second date.
