[Chapter 4] Popeye the Astronaut Man
Now that Popeye has entered the public domain, I am writing a science-fiction story starring the sailor in an entirely new adventure. This story will be told over the next thirteen weeks exclusively available to members. If you’re not a member, now’s a great time to join.

With a renewed sense of purpose and a fully belly, Popeye returnd to the City Services center. The doors were now open and he approached the holographic receptionist, a cheerful-looking feline person who greeted him with a purr.
"Welcome to City Services, citizen. How may I assist you today?"
"I'm Popeye," he announced, puffing out his chest. "Just thawed out after a couple hundred years' nap. Need to get myself squared away with this newfangled world."
The feline creature's eyes widened. "A cryogenically revived citizen! My apologies, Mr. Popeye. We don't get many of those these days. Right this way, please."
