The Neo-Baroque Renaissance
The scent of fresh paint and polished wood still lingered in the air as Maya and Kenji surveyed their new home. Their recent move to the quaint town of Willow Creek had been whirlwind – exciting for sure, but tinged with that slight trepidation that comes with new beginnings. Both as physicians in the vibrant city hospital, they were used to long hours and little downtime. This house, tucked away on a leafy street, promised a slower pace, more time together, and maybe, they hoped, a space to expand their family.
"What do you think about turning this alcove into a reading nook?" Maya asked, gesturing towards a sunlight-drenched corner of the living room. Before the move, they'd daydreamed about built-in bookshelves, cozy armchairs, visions straight out of a home décor magazine.
Kenji chuckled. "Sounds lovely, but we probably need to eat something that wasn't delivered in a pizza box first."
As if on cue, their smart speaker chimed. "Maya, Kenji, your Terrapunk home assistants have arrived."
